Cheshire Art Classes: Introduction to Traditional Drawing Join us for a one-off introductory session designed specifically for beginner and amateur artists eager to explore the world of traditional drawing! This hands-on class will guide you through the fundamentals of creating realistic tonal pencil drawings using a range of graphite pencils. What You'll Learn: ▪️Graphite Pencil Techniques: Master the use of various graphite pencils (2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B) to create stunning line work, tone, texture, and form. ▪️Anatomy of Light: Understand how light interacts with objects to create depth and realism in your drawings. ▪️Mark Making: Explore different techniques to enhance your drawing skills, including the use of graphite powder, conte pencils, condensed charcoal, and putty erasers. ▪️Still Life Study: Apply what you've learned by completing a detailed drawing study of a still life subject alongside your fellow participants. What’s Included: ▪️Drawing Materials: All essential drawing materials will be provided, including Strathmore Bristol smooth surface paper. ▪️Material Recommendations: Access to recommended drawing equipment from Jackson’s Art Supplies is available (see our blog for a complete list). ▪️Class Size: Limited to a maximum of 8 participants per session to ensure personalized instruction. Materials Provided: Graphite pencils (2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B), Strathmore Bristol paper, and additional tools for experimentation.
