Our Farndon studio welcomes students from Chester, Wrexham, Malpas, Tarporley, Whitchurch and the surrounding villages, making it an ideal location for weekly oil painting classes across Cheshire, Shropshire and North Wales.
Since opening in 2020, Farndon has grown into a thriving community of artists. Many of our original students still attend today, returning each week not only to develop their artistic skills but also to enjoy the friendships and welcoming atmosphere that make our studio so special.
Farndon is our only pay-as-you-go studio (you must book online), giving you the flexibility to attend when it suits your schedule. We offer both morning classes (10:00am–12:00pm) and evening classes (6:00pm–8:00pm), making it easy to fit creativity around your lifestyle.
All materials are provided except brushes. Students can bring their own or purchase a recommended brush set through us. We also offer canvases, printing, varnishing and other art supplies as required. Please wear suitable clothing, bring an apron and ensure you can take your finished artwork home after each session.
With expert guidance and the freedom to choose your own reference imagery, you'll develop your skills at your own pace while creating artwork that's personal to you.

Farndon is our main venue for weekend workshops and specialist art courses. We offer sessions in drawing, watercolour, acrylics, mixed media and more, alongside courses covering colour theory, historical techniques and classical oil painting.
Our popular Introduction to Oil Painting course is perfect for beginners and artists looking to try oils for the first time, providing the skills and confidence to get started.
