Our classes at The Lost Barn began in summer 2026, offering a unique and inspiring setting for creative workshops in the beautiful outdoor tipi studio.
We started with watercolour, giving beginners the opportunity to explore the medium through a range of subjects including botanicals, birds, landscapes and wildflower meadows. Each workshop is taught step by step, with live demonstrations, colour mixing tutorials and individual guidance throughout.
As our programme at The Lost Barn continues to grow, we'll be introducing an even wider range of subjects and mediums, including drawing, acrylics, oils, printmaking and more.
With a relaxed atmosphere, heated tipi studio and access to the on-site coffee shop, The Lost Barn is a wonderful setting to spend a few hours painting, learning new skills and enjoying some creative time away from everyday life.

A Unique Creative Setting

The tipi is heated during the cooler months, with free parking and access to the on-site coffee shop.
Beginner-Friendly Tuition
Perfect for complete beginners and developing artists. With 8 years of experience teaching adults and children, Dan provides enthusiastic, inspiring and supportive tuition in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Learn step by step through live demonstrations, colour mixing tutorials and individual guidance, while developing strong foundational skills that can be applied across a wide range of subjects and creative mediums.
Explore Different Mediums
Discover a growing programme of workshops, from watercolour and drawing to acrylics, oils, printmaking and more. Taught by a professional artist with extensive knowledge across different media, you’ll develop practical techniques alongside valuable advice on paints, brushes, surfaces and materials — helping you make more confident choices in your own creative practice.
