Discover the foundations of traditional oil painting in this inspiring 4-week course, exploring classical techniques through the creation of a beautifully observed still life. Working from a carefully selected reference, you'll learn how to build a painting step by step, from the initial drawing and tonal structure through to colour, glazing and final details. We'll explore how classical painters created convincing form, depth, texture and atmosphere through careful observation and layered paint application.
