This new location opens the doors for even more art lovers to experience our friendly, inspiring classes. 👉 Good news! Our popular Farndon Morning & Evening and Mollington Morning Oil Painting Classes are continuing as usual. 🎨 Who’s It For? This course is perfect for beginners and amateur artists who want to explore oil painting in a relaxed, sociable setting. You’ll be guided by professional artist Dan Bethell, who brings over 8 years of experience teaching adults in a variety of mediums. 🖌️ What You’ll Learn: Over 4 creative weeks, we’ll complete a still life oil painting — a structured and supportive way to begin your oil painting journey. You'll be guided step by step through: 🎨 Colour mixing and understanding your palette 🖌️ Imprimatura underpainting to build tonal structure 🧱 Blocking in – focusing on tonal values, colour saturation, and reflected light 🖌️ Layering techniques to gradually develop form and atmosphere ✨ Glazing and oiling out to refine sharpness, enhance detail, and unify the final piece 👩‍🎨 Live demonstrations and hands-on group instruction throughout You'll learn to observe how light, environment, and colour relationships affect your subject — and how to bring your painting to life with clarity and depth. 🧰 What’s Included: ✔️ A 400x300mm Premium Linen Canvas – smooth Italian surface, ideal for fine detail ✔️ All essential painting materials provided* *Please bring your own oil painting brushes and apron.
