🎨 2-Session Evening Oil Painting Course — Alla Prima Landscapes: Confident & Expressive Oils Discover a faster, more expressive approach to landscape painting in this focused 2-session evening oil painting course. Working on a 10 × 12" panel, you'll learn how to simplify a landscape, mix colours efficiently and work alla prima, developing the painting while the oils are still wet. The emphasis is on confident decisions, expressive brushwork and avoiding overworking. Perfect for beginners and developing artists who want to loosen up and become more confident with oils. 🖌️ What You'll Learn Across two 2.5-hour sessions you'll explore: 🏞️ Simplifying landscapes into shapes, values and colour 🎨 Mixing a focused landscape palette 🖌️ Blocking in quickly with confident brushwork 💡 Using value, light and colour temperature to create depth 🌿 Creating atmosphere without excessive detail 🖌️ Working wet-on-wet and layering fresh paint ✨ Expressive marks, varied edges and thicker paint 🎯 Learning when to refine — and when to leave a mark alone 👨‍🎨 Live demonstrations and individual guidance throughout By the end of the course, you'll aim to complete a 10 × 12" landscape painting in just five hours, helping you develop a more spontaneous and confident approach to oils. 🧰 What's Included ✔️ 10 × 12" painting panel supplied ✔️ All oil paints and materials provided* *Please bring your own brushes, palette knife and apron. Brushes: For this course, I recommend bringing a mixture of synthetic and natural-hair brushes. I particularly recommend Rosemary & Co Evergreen brushes for softer, more controlled marks and the Ultimate Bristle Hog range for stronger, more expressive brushwork and moving thicker oil paint.
