🎨 Project 6x6 🎨An oil painting collaboration with over 45 budding artists

Project 6x6 is a vibrant, collaborative initiative with my incredibly talented art students. Each of the 45+ participants is creating their own 6x6-inch oil painting—with total freedom in subject, style, and palette. The only rule? It must be in oil.

This project is all about exploration, expression, and creative growth. Students are using this time to experiment with oil painting at home, discovering what truly inspires them—from bold abstract expressions to delicate still lifes and portraits. The diversity of ideas, techniques, and colour choices already emerging is nothing short of inspiring.

In just seven weeks, I’ll be curating each piece into one large-scale collaborative artwork—a striking visual celebration of the variety and personal expression in every student’s work. And yes—the tutor is painting too!

We’re incredibly grateful to be supported by Jackson’s Art Supplies, who generously provided all the canvas panels and varnish for the project. Their support is invaluable—giving back to the arts and uplifting our creative community.
