This welcoming venue is the perfect place to inspire both new and returning artists. Still life is one of the best subjects to begin with in oil painting—helping you learn to capture soft backgrounds, understand how objects reflect on surrounding surfaces, and control the balance between hard and soft edges. 🎨 Course Theme: Still Life — Light, Form & Composition Immerse yourself in the timeless art of still life painting in this brand-new 2-day course, perfect for both beginners and developing artists. Guided by professional artist Dan Bethell (with over 8 years of teaching experience), you’ll learn how to transform simple objects into powerful, expressive artworks — starting with a classical Burnt Sienna imprimatura to build warmth, unity, and tonal clarity from the very first brushstroke. 🖌️ What You’ll Learn Across two inspiring sessions, you’ll create a complete still life painting using traditional and contemporary oil painting techniques.
